How to Choose the Right Science Tables for Schools

Match the Top Material to Your Subject

High-pressure laminate is the standard top for elementary science tables. Chemsurf resists chemicals for middle school work. Epoxy resin handles high school science tables with acids and open flames. Phenolic resin manages 350-degree heat for advanced labs.

Choose the Right Height for Your Students

Hann Classic science classroom tables come in three heights. The 30-inch model suits younger students. The 34-inch and 36-inch models suit older students who work standing. Adjustable-height models cover multiple grade levels with one unit.

Plan for Storage, Sinks, and Power

Bookwell aprons hold notebooks under the surface. Some classroom science tables add gas connections and power outlets. Confirm which utilities your lab already has and which need to be added before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a science table called in a K-12 school lab setting?

A science table is often called a science lab table, a lab bench, or a student workstation. In a chemistry lab, it may be called a chemistry lab table. The name usually depends on the grade level and subject the table is built for.

Can I order science tables without a matching set of stools?

Yes. Every product on this page is sold as a table only. Stools, chairs, and lab seating are separate orders. If you need matching seating, tell our team when you place your order, and we will confirm compatible options for your table height.

How do I clean chemical spills off a science lab table surface?

Wipe spills right away with water and a mild lab-safe cleaner. For chemical spills, follow your school lab safety plan first. Chemsurf, epoxy, and phenolic tops resist most common lab chemicals but should still be cleaned promptly to protect the surface long-term.

Are these tables built to handle open-flame work with Bunsen burners?

Only some. Phenolic resin tops from Hann handle open-flame work and high heat safely. Epoxy resin tops also resist heat. High-pressure laminate tops are not built for open-flame use. Confirm the top material on the product listing before placing your order.

What is your standard lead time for a full science lab order?

Standard lead time is 4 to 5 weeks from order confirmation. Larger custom orders and factory-shipped items may take longer. Contact us with your order details for a confirmed lead time before you place the order so it lines up with your school calendar.

Do you accept school purchase orders for science tables in bulk?

Yes. We accept school purchase orders and work with TIPS, NCPA, and PEPPM cooperative purchasing contracts. Contact our team at 877-909-9910 or rick@todaysclassroom.com for volume pricing and bid documentation.
