PresentationPro PA Wins Award

The just-upgraded PresentationPro PA was announced by Tech and Learning magazine as one of its "ISTE Best in Show" winners at the leading annual educational technology conference.

The prestigious award was based on input received from a panel of judges who considered entries from amongst the hundreds of leading edge exhibitors during June’s ISTE conference. Judges were looking at each product’s quality and effectiveness, ease of use, suitability for use in a school environment and creative use of technology.

One of the technologies in the revamped PresentationPro centers around improving mobile device connectivity for audio amplification. The PA solved this by adding the same 3.5mm connection educators and students are already familiar with from plugging headphones into their devices. Also new is a remote control which magnetically attaches to the speaker to help prevent it from being lost.

"Califone is thrilled the innovations in the PresentationPro, were deemed worthy of this award. We’re also honored to be the sole audio manufacturer included in this year’s award recipients," shared Tim Ridgway, company vice president of marketing. The new PresentationPro PA was shown for the first time at ISTE and was also used by conference organizers for audio support in all nine of the public meeting places throughout the conference.

The PresentationPro has 30-watts RMS of power, enough to amplify sound to an audience of up to 350 people. Some school districts such as Lake Washington, take advantage of its power to save money and choose to install a single speaker in each classroom instead of multiple units. The 10oz magnet used to power the PA310 is the largest in its speaker class – meaning it needn’t work as hard to produce sound compared to rival speakers using smaller magnets.
