A woodworking bench, also known as a woodworking table, is most commonly used in shop or industrial arts classes in schools. They are also found in personal workshops of professionals and DIYers. A woodworking bench is a durable table specifically designed for completing woodworking tasks such as cutting, sanding, and gluing wood. Shop classes, such as woodworking, promote creativity, enhance fine motor skills, and teach patience, according to Green Vale School. At Today’s Classroom, we understand the importance and are here to provide you with woodworking benches that encourage creativity while keeping your students safe.

Wooden Workbenches & Tables

At Today’s Classroom, we have a variety of wooden workbenches & tables, including:

  • Woodworking Table - A sturdy, wooden table with four legs and a fixed height.
  • Mobile Workbench - A workbench that comes with 4 large casters that securely lock into place. The tabletop is made from high-pressure laminate and is available in different colors.
  • Clamp Station - A rectangular base with 17 notches on each side of the table for holding bar clamps. An optional steel drip pan is available for purchase.
  • Glue & Stain Station - Made from galvanized steel, the top is rust, stain, and warp resistant. Pegs on the side of the table provide space to store bar clamps.
  • Workbenches with Storage - Keep all your supplies organized in the drawers or cabinets under the workbench tabletop.

Choosing a Woodworking Bench for your Woodshop Class

When choosing a woodworking bench for your woodshop class, keep the following in mind:

  • Class Size - The number of students that you have in your class will determine the type of woodworking tables you should purchase. For larger classes, square tables are the best option as they seat many students at a single table, while still providing individual workspace.
  • Amount of Classroom Space - If you are working in a small classroom, we recommend workbenches with storage. Easily store supplies under the tables in drawers and cabinets. This will keep your room organized while also freeing up space for important woodworking machines.

At Today’s Classroom, we carry all the woodworking tables and benches that your classroom needs. The durable tabletops can withstand the wear and tear that comes from woodworking projects, such as dripping of glue, stains, and hammering. Consider browsing our tools & parts storage, as well as our shop desks, to fill your classroom with all the essential woodworking furniture you need. Today’s Classroom is here to provide you with top-of-the-line furniture to ensure you can run an organized and safe woodshop class.
