School desks are used by teachers and students in the classroom. The two types of desks are different from one another as they suit different needs. Teacher desks require a large desktop space for laptops, supplies, and to work with students one-on-one. Student desks require space for one individual student. Choosing Desks for Your Classroom
With so many different types of school desks to choose from, consider the following before purchasing:
- Child Age- We recommend our junior executive desks for elementary students. This desk provides a large workspace and two compartments for the students to store their supplies. At this age, students do not have lockers, meaning most of their materials are stored at their desks. This desk gives them plenty of space and can be purchased in an adjustable option. For middle school students, we recommend collaborative desks and lift lid desks. They can each be paired with a classroom chair and positioned in an assortment of ways in the classroom. Collaborative desks allow students to work together while still having their own space and time for independent work. The lift lid desks provide extra storage space for materials.
- Class Size- For large classes, we recommend purchasing one of our collaborative desk packages. This ensures you have enough desks for each of your students and they are all the same. Collaborative student desks are the perfect choice as they can be placed separately or grouped together depending on the class or task at hand. Buying a package is also more cost-effective than purchasing each desk individually.
