AV Carts

AV carts, or media carts, have always been a staple in schools and office spaces. They are perfect for moving equipment from one room to the next with ease. They can also store larger items such as projectors and TVs. Today’s Classroom has a large selection of AV carts to fit your needs. Our three-shelved carts are the classic style that many are used to working with, complete with three sturdy shelves and a built-in push handle. Consider upgrading to an AV cart with a shelf and cabinet. This option also includes a pull-out for keyboards and a locking cabinet. Another option is our media cart with a power connection. These carts come with 3 outlets built into the cart and an extension cord to source the power. This option is ideal for those using the cart for a computer or document camera, as the cart can act as the power source for both items.

Other Uses

Recently, schools have found a new use for these wheeled carts. Administrators have been taking AV carts to the hallways, transforming them into their on-the-go office spaces. This allows the administration to get out of the office and connect more with staff and students. The goal of this is to help support teachers and to be more present with the student body. This is believed to promote positive behavior among students and allow administration to take a more hands-on approach.

Extra Classroom Storage

AV carts give teachers extra classroom storage that can be easily moved around the room. Teachers can use this space to store classroom headphone sets and other items that are used during listening activities and for center time. This allows teachers to store this equipment in a different place and then bring out the cart when it is time for centers. AV carts are also a great option for storing and moving interactive whiteboards from room to room. This provides teachers with the opportunity to teach in different settings while still providing students with visual aids.
