Total dimension of box is 31 1/16” wide x 17” deep x 4¾” high. Attachment is made with plated screws through 1/2” mounting fl anges.-Frame: The unit’s frame shall be 1¼” x 2½” 14-gauge upper rectangular tube mig welded to a 1¼” square 16- gauge top support tube. Inserts are 1” x 2¼” 16-gauge mig welded to a 1¼” square 11-gauge base (foot) tube. Stretcher assembly is a 1” x 2¼” 16-gauge stretcher bar sigma welded to two 13-gauge die formed gussets at both ends. The stretcher assembly using 5/16” bolts with a lock washer and nut joins both pedestals securely. Work Surface: • Standard - Laminate Top: A 9/16” thick MDF core surfaced with a high-pressure laminate on the student side and a resin impregnated balanced phenolic paper backer sheet on the underside to balance construction and minimize warping. Edges shall be sealed with a polyurethane sealer. • Option - PermaTuff Edge: Edges of the top shall be protected with a polyurethane epoxy resin chemically bonded to the edge of the laminate work surface. Available in black only. -Metal Finish: The desk’s frame shall be available with a powder coat finish. Adjustable leg inserts are chrome plated. Glides: 1 1/8” diameter nickel plated steel with adjustable height feature and nylon base.
